Nordergründe is an offshore wind farm in the North Sea, 12 km out.
Due to the fact that the seabed material was slowly being washed away, this project required the placement of coarse rock erosion control material around the existing monopiles. Care was needed to avoid interfering with the cables supplying power to the wind turbines.
We deployed Camilla Høj with hydraulic equipment. The rock material, sourced in Norway, was loaded onto Camilla Høj at open sea using a self-discharger.
