The project involved deepening a basin for a new cruise ship pier in the Visby Harbour on the island of Gotland.
The materials were very hard and were therefore loosened by a hydraulic ripper before they were excavated and transported to a wharf for further dumper removal to a disposal site on land.
The project was completed without interruption over a period of several months. The work was performed at a water depth of 11 m.
