As part of ongoing maintenance of the water depth, we dredged several basins.
The materials were slightly contaminated and could not be taken to a disposal site at sea. Instead, they were to be placed in a landfill about 2 km from the harbour. This was done by trucks loaded by an excavator at the wharf.
The total volume amounted to 56,000 m³ or 89,600 tons. At 30 tons per truck, that was about 3,000 round trips!
