Høj expands the fleet with two new vessels

International projects require additional capacity at Høj Nordic Marine Contractor in Horsens, Denmark. Therefore, the company has now signed purchase contracts for an additional two vessels to serve marine works projects in the Northern European market.

With this expansion of the fleet, Høj Nordic Marine Contractor accommodates increasing activity in the areas of excavation and dredging of port infrastructure, construction of piers and breakwaters and revetments, preliminary work for the laying of cables, boulder clearance, and establishment of new artificial reefs.

The two vessels add new capacity to the existing fleet. The company assumed ownership on 1 June 2022. The vessels will be named M/S Aase Høj and M/S Alberte Høj after the grandmother and granddaughter of owner Søren Høj.

CEO Michael Normann assumed his position on 1 April 2022. He explains:

”The company has long had a desire to acquire additional capacity. The two new vessels are known in the market and fit well with the existing fleet. The timing is perfect in that the investment supports the overall positive developments experienced by the company in the Northern European market. We are concentrating on Norway, Sweden, Germany, the UK, and the Baltics. With this additional fleet capacity, we will be able to strengthen our international position in the areas of port construction, marine works, and offshore wind.”
